Back to Anime

I've been missing out of new anime and haven't really been watching anythigns I've got, especially any of those on the list to the right. So, I thought I might as well get back to my downloading habits and get something. I'm too lazy to check out whats up and coming so I settled to for some 2006 titles:

Utawarerumono

Innocent Venus

Jigoku Shojo

Bakumatsu Kikansetsu Irohanihoheto

Code Geass

The last two are pretty new though Code Geass is almost over. I heard alot about Code Geass and was very interested in watching it, but somehow lost interest in obtaining episodes. I watched a bit of the first ep and it looks cool.

I just watched Innocent Venus' first ep and it looks promising. I was 'Your Moms' blog site checking for torrent files when music started to play. Searching for the name of the song, I found out it was from Utawarerumono and sung by Suara. A beautiful song with words in mind and her voice does the piece much credit. Now I remembered that I need to get the remaining episodes for Asatte no Hokou, which again has a song sung by Suara.

Bakumatsu was a download that I didn't know I had and upon watching it with friends I was wowed by it. Very cool idea about a crying sword. Just got ep two but I want to watch the first ep again cos I savour the first ep with people around. Youve really got to enjoy certian titles in a proper way with no jokes nor over-excitement from friends, other than from myself.

Theres supposed to be a sequel to Jigoku Shoujo - Jigoku Shoujo Futakomori

The end song for Innocent Venus, Brand New Reason by FLEET is what I'm listening to now as I'm typing this. Its nice ^ ^

Now I need to watch something else before I kill my eyes.

War

"Know your enemy and know yourself, and you shall always be victorious." - more or less what was said by Sun Tzu, Art of War but is translated in various forms.

The hardest part in that equation though is knowing oneself...

Nyan Nyan

Check out Nyan Nyan's new website. They are awesome when it comes to buying anime stuff, and at a very good price. I've been buying stuff from them since last year (I think) from their original Ebay service Nyan-Nyan-Store, and they've been great and very helpful. Highly, HIGHLY recommended for Australian anime fans!

Now they've got a website which looks pretty cool and looks like they're gaining popularity with the general otaku pulic.

All I can say about them, through personal experience is that their products are originals, I've never had any problems with them, super-helpful, are absolutely careful when sending stuff (like figures are packaged so nicely!) and and... very cool!

Now go on, click on their link and spend some money buying anime stuff... I unfortunately can't cos I spent a wee too much last year ^ ^

New... stuff

Well its been a while since my last, early morning post, but not being an otaku leads to these sort of things (which I'm happy I'm not).

A friend of mine mentioned something about a teacher being bustd over the act of Enjo Kosai in Japan (Shimane prefacture I think). I don't have any facts and haven't really checked up on it, but the first thing that hit me was GTO and Initial-D, along with 'Kamisama, mou sukoshi dake'. There was something about the two parties meeting on a 'daei site'. Anyway, heres the link to wikipedia's info on Enjo Kosai.

In other news, well there isn't any. I happened to flick the channels onto the Academy Awards? and the best adaptation award was on. With 'The Departed' winning, what kinda shocked me was the reference to the original HK movie 'Infernal Affairs' as a japanese movie. The nerve!

Finished watching the GTO drama series, or at least the 12 eps and not the special and movie. It was fun, and I recommend it to anyone, though I think people who've read the manga or watche the anime would not really like it since its a shortened version and changed quite a bit. I'm reading the manga series at the moment at a very slow pace as its in the manga library. Apparaently, wiki's page on GTO states that Tokyopop released info that the final ep of the GTO drama was the most watched ep of all time in Japan. I dunno if its true, but a fun ep it was.

*bloody pokemon music on winamp*

My eyes are hurting after so much time on NFS Most Wanted (xbox) and watching Ranma, GTO and other crazy stuff! Arrhhhhhh...
