Simple Pleasures

Ah the week is starting off in a bit of pain. I woke up today to start working on templates for a client. Tried to start off at 5am with a 4:30 alarm, but that go it snoozed through to 6:30. Not the kind of morning I wanna wake up to, but incidentally, me not finishing the work nor arriving late to work, didn't kill me... I suppose thats a little relief for the work load I have on my plate this month.

Had a very interesting and pleasurable time celebrating one of my best friend's Birthday over the Internet with video chat, accompanied by two very lovely ladies. It was absolutely AWESOME. Made of WIN is my new one liner I'm gonna put out for things that make me go giddy and smile. Among other things, being treated to a lovely dinner with French cuisine, and it being a surprise, was recently a delightful highlight, and the food was, of course and really, 'made-of-WIN' = )

I seem to feel like I'm typing like a moronic Englishman, so if you do get the same sense of neuroticism (if that is a suitable word), feel free to curse me, in thought alone, cos I'm doing just that to myself... AHHH I wanna watch Sleepy Hollow again, and sometime soon.

Speaking of movies, I re-visited the awesomeness of The Matrix, vaguely enjoyed certain scenes and ACTION-sequences of the its Reloaded-less and again hated myself for sitting through another Revolution... theres an 's' somewhere there, or something like that. This was not in vein, for I was simply educating my girlfriend in much absent movie lineage she has not yet covered. Simply put, she hasn't watched The Matrix... forgot about that, she hasn't Star Wars (F*&# 1-3, we're only talking about 4, 5, 6... and err, hmmm... 3). Who hasn't watched Star WARS?!?!?! O_O ... well... guess what! I haven't watched Wrath of Khan and I simply HATE MYSELF! T_T

I fail in epic dimensions and yes, yes, I am NOT made of WIN, even if it is in uppercase. I shall, and I VOW, that Khan will be ADORED, by moir >_<.

Sad truth about me indeed. Don't judge me for I'm just a poor boy. Will reveal more items of glory and awesomeness that I may have not told you. or anyone. for that matter... = P I'm gonna go play Halo 3 with my brother...

A Happy Kappa?

Regardless of what little I know about Kappas, I recently visited a somewhat popular and unique Japanese noodle bar that goes by the name 'Happy Kappa Japanese'. Starting off to write something detailed and informative, I'm tired and its 5 AM, so heres the gist of it.

The food isn't worth the price and its very mediocre. Being a fan of Japanese cuisine and having visited a fair number of Japanese bars and restaurants, this isn't really worth the visit. The decor and environment are cool and all with a lot of Japanese ornaments and stuff, but with the lack of people and liveliness, its a dull place to have dinner with your girlfriend. And this is case for both their branches in Richmond and Brunswick.

Verdict: might have been the wrong day and time, but in both my visits to their branches, it was the same. Below average food not worth the cost nor the atmosphere.

Position of radiobutton / checkbox inputs

An issue I keep forgetting to resolve is the positioning of radiobuttons and checkboxes. The problem specifically being their vertical misalignment against the text for each input. I've tried dealing with this by changing margins and such, but versions of IE and firefox will render them differently, even being contributed by other factor (unknown to me thus far).

Solution (as far as I can think, and found):

vertical-align: middle;

Try that and see if it solves your alignment issue. Funny thing is, I found this solution a year ago and then forgot it when I really needed it >.<

A different take

I'm about to revamp this little blog, and put it to good use by putting content that I'm into, and something or so anyone else would find useful... and lets say, I got a bit of inspiration = )
