Regardless of what little I know about Kappas, I recently visited a somewhat popular and unique Japanese noodle bar that goes by the name 'Happy Kappa Japanese'. Starting off to write something detailed and informative, I'm tired and its 5 AM, so heres the gist of it.
The food isn't worth the price and its very mediocre. Being a fan of Japanese cuisine and having visited a fair number of Japanese bars and restaurants, this isn't really worth the visit. The decor and environment are cool and all with a lot of Japanese ornaments and stuff, but with the lack of people and liveliness, its a dull place to have dinner with your girlfriend. And this is case for both their branches in Richmond and Brunswick.
Verdict: might have been the wrong day and time, but in both my visits to their branches, it was the same. Below average food not worth the cost nor the atmosphere.
That's a shame it wasn't worth it.
ReplyDeleteBut I hope you had fun anyway. ...at least you were there with good company :)
Come visit me and James and we'll all go out on a double date to Kappa Sushi (a train sushi restaurant).
Now that's a happy kappa. In fact it may be on drugs :P
